Prerequisites

Vital information for you to prepare for the Virtual Assessment

You will need two devices

Your first device will be used to access and complete the exam. A laptop or desktop is best for this.

Your second device, which can be a second laptop, a smartphone or a tablet, will be used for communication and our invigilation.  Using this second device the exam session will be recorded, and we will need to see that the room is free from any notes before we start.  You will also need to show us a copy of some photo ID.

We will do the exam via this website:

https://exam.net.

Before we start you will need to download the following high security software which prevents copying and pasting the questions or taking any screenshots:

https://support.exam.net/#/seb

The event format: there will be some checks required before the exam and there may be some questions.

The exam will take 120 minutes, with an additional 20% of the time allowed (24 minutes) if English is not first language.  An additional 30% of the time (36 minutes) is allowed for specific disabilities.

To account for admin activities, exam access and any questions, your should schedule 4 hours for the whole session.

You will shortly receive an invitation email, from Matt or Dominic, which will restate many of these requirements and give you a link to the GoTo meeting that will be used to invigilate via your second device.

In advance of the assessment...

  • Please take the opportunity to complete the specimen exam paper, if you have not already done so, and email this to Dominic and Matt. We will endeavour to get it marked and back to you with feedback as early as possible.
  • You should also set aside some time to review your notes from the 5-day course.
  • If there has been a significant time gap between ending your course and sitting the assessment,
